“HORSE PLAY”—–Black Thunder Powerboats was contracted by Tim Conklin from General Motors, to build this beauty in 2002. This 46 ft long 9.6 ft wide yacht boasts 6ft 10in head room, leather interior, queen size bed, two leather couches, beautiful wood cabinetry, ac, heat, microwave, fridge ,kitchen sink, water heater, walk in shower, macerator head with pump out ability, full bathroom vanity, ambiance lighting throughout the entire boat, Rockford Fosgate sound system with amps and pilot controls, 10 speakers with subs, Westerbeke generator 4k, aluminum Danforth bow anchor, battery charger, new Simrad fish finder with gps and sonar 2021 model.
The heart of this beast when built was Chief racing engines 650 hp x 3 with mercury xr drives. Tim said that he ran 104 out of the box. Tim and his wife decided to sell Horse Play because of medical reasons and the new buyer actually helped build the craft as he worked for Black Thunder. The owner of Newburg Marine had the boat and raised his family on it for many years. He then pulled the 650hp motors and sent them to Chief for 850hp upgrades and installed new IMCO SCX outdrives. He said he has ran 124 mph with more to go. In may 2018 Kurt Truettner and Lynda Truettner bought the boat as a retirement plan, owners of Auto Tech Pros and Centaur Performance Racing Engines, this was to be their last boat, but mother nature and health issues have changed that plan. The drives have 25 hrs on them and the motors 106 hrs, kept by the gps units.
The helm boasts triple gauges for everything and a gps speedometer. A new Simrad flat screen was added in 2021 with gps and sonar, engine cameras help monitor everything, ship to shore radio is to the right and custom purple billet cup holders are through out the cockpit. There are fire extinguishers with purple billet quick releases under the seats and engines are protected with a halon fire system. There is also a bimini top, storm enclosure and cockpit cover included.
This boat has normal wear and tear for a 2003 model with original paint and upholstery. The back engine deck is 7ft X 7ft and has some stitching issues that could use some attention, this is also where everyone sun bathes. The electric bolsters are in beautiful condition. only about 4 scratches. The trailer is beautiful, but after the years of tire issues need new fender update. The cabin is pristine, including the carpet. The paint job has some trailer nicks and has a few touched up dock kisses but still shines like the day she was painted and the marks are not very noticeable.
The boat sits on a 2008 Manning triple axle 8000 lb trailer with all new disc brakes, axles, tool box and tires.
